The Path to Becoming Highly Effective Develops These Skills Which Will Make Your Other Courses “Move the Needle”

  1. Better Planning – This course helps you improve your planning skills and strategic thinking so projects are completed on-time, you can complete more work in less time, and manage your day instead of your day managing you. How can leaders find the time to coach and mentor when they can’t even get their own work done each day? Simple, accurate planning, that doesn’t take a lot of time is now a real necessity.
  2. More Accurate Prioritizing – If everything seems like the same priority (most urgent ever) then a person will actually slow down. Since change is a constant, throughout the day it is now necessary to constantly be  reassessing your priorities to make sure you get time-sensitive requests done. Asking better questions and giving others more accurate direction saves time and reduces misunderstandings.
  3. Coaching – Coaching that is well thought out and planned is far more effective than the “spur of the moment” coaching in business today. When leaders put coaching in his or her plan for the day, then plan the coaching results are significantly improved. Using your Master List to record positive and negative performance helps your coaching become far more about what you’re trying to improve and takes the personality out of the interaction.
  4. Delegation – Leaders maybe skills at delegation but often don’t record key facts and lose track of the task and who he or she delegated the task to. Tracking delegation has become an important skill for developing direct reports and thus freeing you up to actually be a leader. Our nine step program will help you focus your time on being a leader by developing those who report to you.
  5. Creative Thinking – At the end of the day, upon reflection, do you have a good reason for everything you checked off and everything you didn’t? The Master List encourages you to write down not only just to-dos but also ideas and random thoughts that pop into your head. Have you ever had a great idea that you couldn’t remember because you didn’t write it down immediately? Have you validated each activity you choose as the correct time to work on it? Is there a better time? Have you tried working on tasks at different times to assure you have correctly identified the optimal time?
  6. Managing Remote Teams – As more and more people work from home and leaders become stretched developing a routine, expectations, and then monitoring them becomes more and more difficult. Tracking performance and making sure the remote employee feels engaged are difficult without a good plan and a Master List. Managing Remote Teams is much easier for a well-organized leader.
  7. Communication – The single fastest way to improve productivity is to improve communication. The faster you go and the less you plan your communication, the more vague it will be. This in turn will cause misunderstandings and wasted productivity. This courses shows you that by slowing down and planning your written and oral communication, it will take less time, you’ll get faster results, with fewer questions/misunderstandings.
  8. Executing More Effective Meetings – Poorly planned meetings are causing an explosion of meetings. How can a leader lead, mentor, coach, and get their own work done when they spend the majority of their day in meetings.  This course will significantly reduce the number of meetings at your company and improve the results.
  9. Executing Successful Change – One of the biggest reasons for change failure is lack of planning. When we experience change, we move from what we had known and done, through a period of transition to arrive at a desired new way of behaving and doing our job. This course gives you the skills necessary to plan and organize a plan with many stages and many moving parts
  10. Agile Solutions – The Path to Becoming Highly Effective is all about seeking and developing the next solution to the current challenge. This course promotes innovation, seeking constant improvement using a specific thought process so it is very natural.

Whether it’s coaching, emotional intelligence, having difficult conversations, or any other course, when a participant is able to come to your training program and “be in the moment”, without distractions, and have the highest focus, the behavior modification will be much stronger. As you can see, all of the other courses you’re currently teaching have the potential to be much more effective when a person is not overwhelmed and has the key planning and organizational skills to utilize what he or she is learning!
